School holidays in Norrköping: autumn break, Christmas and summer
Autumn break in Norrköping's schools falls in week 44. The Museum of Work and Visualiseringscenter C run autumn-break programmes, with free admission to the exhibitions, and the City Museum has ghost crafts, walks and film. Löfstad Castle just outside town runs ghost tours during the autumn-break week for ages 5–10, 11–14 and adults.
Four of our rooms suit the holidays: Trapped, OrientX, HMS Orion and HMS Argo, all from age ten. In the twin ships, two groups of friends or two families can race each other when both ships are free at the same start time, and Trapped takes a big group of up to eight. The fifth room is scary and 13+, so we do not recommend it for children.
Before the Christmas break, candles are lit on the roof of Värmekyrkan in Advent, and Jul på Löfstad holds its Christmas market on two weekends before Christmas. In the summer holidays a new cactus display opens in Carl Johans park in June and the archipelago boats leave from Arkösund. Kolmården's Tropicarium can be visited all year.
