Sankt Larsgatan 33, Linköping
The open-air museum Gamla Linköping, the cathedral, aviation history, parks along the Stångån river and evenings around Stora torget. The ideas are grouped by type, and Escape House on Sankt Larsgatan is one of them.
Linköping has a medieval cathedral, a university and plenty of green space near the centre. There is the open-air museum Gamla Linköping, the Swedish Air Force Museum and several museums around the cathedral. A footpath follows the Stångån river, and outside town are the Berg locks on the Göta Canal and Ekenäs castle. The ideas below are grouped into classics, museums and culture, nature and views, day trips, kids and families, indoor, and food and evenings. The guide also includes day plans and an overview of yearly events.
Escape House is on Sankt Larsgatan, near the Trädgårdstorget stop. Stora torget and Trädgårdsföreningen are a 4–6 minute walk away, and the cathedral 7–10 minutes. For Gamla Linköping and the Air Force Museum, take a bus from the Resecentrum travel centre. That makes it easy to fit a room between a walk around town and dinner.
Escape House
Escape House Linköping has six rooms. The Wild West Bank Heist and The Wild East Bank Heist are twin rooms where two teams can race each other. West takes 2–6 players and is rated Medium, while East takes 2–5 and is rated Easy/Medium. The Laboratory takes 2–5 and is rated Hard. None of the three is scary, and all suit ages 10+. The scary rooms are The Docks (3–6 players, Medium) and Black Market (3–7, Medium/Hard), both 13+, and The Dollhouse (2–4, Medium), 15+.
Up to 33 players can play at once. Each game lasts 60 minutes, but set aside about 90 minutes for the whole visit. All rooms can be played in English as well as Swedish. With Stora torget and Trädgårdsföreningen a few minutes away, a room fits neatly before dinner.

An escape room is a game where you are locked in a themed room and have 60 minutes to find clues, crack codes and solve puzzles to get out. You do not need to be strong or fast, just curious and good at working together. A game master follows you on camera and gives hints if you get stuck.
Most rooms suit 2–6 players; some take up to 8. The recommended number is shown on each room. Larger groups book several rooms, with the same start time when the calendar has that time free in the rooms. Several of our rooms come in two identical versions so two teams can race each other. How many can play at the same time depends on the venue and is shown on the team-building page for each city.
The game itself is 60 minutes. Allow about 90 minutes in total including the introduction before and the debrief afterwards. Please arrive 10 minutes before your booked time.

It depends on the room. We have everything from family-friendly adventures like Wonderland to horror rooms like The Asylum, The Hotel and The Dollhouse. Every room is labelled with its theme and whether it has scary elements. Difficulty is a separate thing, shown on its own. Want to know more about a particular room, for example whether there are actors? Ask the venue before you book.
No. The door can always be opened from the inside and the game master can stop the game at any time. We follow the safety rules for public premises.
No. No prior knowledge and no special clothing is needed. Bring reading glasses if you need them. Does someone in your group have limited mobility? What we have checked about accessibility is shown on the room’s page. Otherwise ask the venue before you book. We recommend not drinking alcohol before the game; it makes the puzzles noticeably harder.
It varies between rooms and cities. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are labelled on the site, for example The Detectives in Gothenburg. Contact the venue before booking and we will help.
